When Form becomes Sound

On 22 October, Pianca&Partners hosts a new D.A.M.A. event: Lorenzo Palmeri at the Nemo by Zanta piano and a Wine Tasting Experience with De Stefani winery

D.A.M.A. by Pianca returns to the spaces of Pianca&Partners in Milan on Thursday, 22 October, from 7:00 p.m., with When Form Becomes Sound, an evening dedicated to Music, where design and sound become expressions of the same creative process.

The protagonist of the evening will be Lorenzo Palmeri, designer, architect and musician, whose research has long explored different disciplines. A student of Bruno Munari and Isao Hosoe, Palmeri combines his design practice with a musical journey as a composer and pianist: two languages that constantly meet in his work, bringing form, material and sound into dialogue.

For D.A.M.A., Palmeri will perform live on the Nemo by Zanta upright piano, which he designed, transforming into a musical experience an instrument that is also a work of design. Nemo is an upright piano defined by an essential, contemporary language, recognised by major international awards and selections, including ADI Design Index, Compasso d’Oro ADI, Dezeen Awards and Good Design Award.

When Form Becomes Sound stems precisely from this encounter: the piano as a point of contact between design and music, where form is not only an aesthetic expression, but part of an experience involving material, gesture and sound.

On the occasion of Milano Wine Week 2026, the evening will continue with a Wine Tasting Experience dedicated to three wines that embody the Veneto region, presented by the De Stefani family, now in its fifth generation of outstanding winemakers. The winery will bring to the spaces of Pianca&Partners a story rooted in the territory and in Veneto’s winemaking culture, guiding guests through the discovery of the wines, their history and their distinctive characteristics.

A new opportunity for D.A.M.A. to bring different languages into dialogue and create connections between design, culture and territory.
