Pianca furnished the Vip lounge and outdoor terrace of the Jean Nouvel Pavilion with some of its iconic design furniture

From 21st to 26th September 2023, Genoa hosted the International Boat Show, the largest boat show in the Mediterranean, now in its 63rd year, spread out over 200,000 m². Pianca was involved in the event for the first time, furnishing the prestigious Vip lounge in the Jean Nouvel Blue Pavilion and the outdoor terrace.

Pianca has been nurturing a growing relationship between home décor and nautical furniture, working on the concepts of modularity, flexibility and functionality for years and applying them to various types and sizes of boats – cruise ships, expeditions cruises and private yachts – also increasing its competitive edge in the naval and nautical sector.

A place for guests, organizations, ship owners, entrepreneurs, shipyards and media to meet and mingle, the VIP Lounge was stunningly furnished with products like the Calatea chair, the Peonia sofa and armchair, the Corinto and Enea tables, the Ettorino and Abaco coffee tables, Alunna chairs and the Dedalo sideboard: furniture that expresses the values of design, lifestyle and hospitality, aligned with the concepts of beauty, elegance and sustainability that define Pianca collections.

For Pianca, the Boat Show also presented the opportunity to preview furniture from its outdoor collection: the Levante sofa, conceived in collaboration with Pier Luigi Frighetto, who boasts years of experience in the design sector.
