The Orizzonte kitchen has received a prestigious international award for its essential, elegant design language and its sustainable, innovative selection of materials

Innovation, sustainability, and the ability to redefine the relationship between space, objects, and people: with these qualities, the Orizzonte kitchen has been awarded the Iconic Design Award 2025, conferred by the German Design Council to celebrate excellence in international interior design. The project embodies a new way of experiencing social interaction and the domestic environment through essential lines, natural materials, and luminous surfaces, while at the same time meeting the demand for maximum customization.

Particularly distinctive is the design of the island, which combines the visual strength of a monoblock with an elegant formal lightness, thanks to the seamless junction of corners and edges—a detail that defines its character and enhances its stylistic clarity. The structure is distinguished by supporting side panel, which allows for the free customization of base and tall units to the centimeter, ensuring maximum design flexibility and adaptability to the surrounding environment.

Central to the project is the selection of fine, sustainable materials: in addition to marble and quartzite, Orizzonte can also be crafted in engineered quartz and engineered marble, ensuring high technical performance and an even broader range of customization options. In this way, Orizzonte becomes a symbol of a design approach that combines aesthetics with responsibility, reaffirming Pianca’s ability to deliver innovative projects aligned with the values of quality, research, and environmental commitment.
