Pianca supports FSC® Forest Week 2026
From the origin of wood to supply chain traceability, materials become part of the project and of an approach focused on the responsible management of forest resources
Every project takes shape from its material. Knowing its origin, understanding its characteristics and carefully choosing the way it is used means considering it not only for its aesthetic and functional qualities, but as an integral part of the design process.
On the occasion of FSC® Forest Week 2026, Pianca focuses on the connection between design and the origin of resources, describing a journey that involves the selection of raw materials, their traceability and the way they are transformed into products designed to accompany spaces and people over time. FSC® certified since 2017, Pianca creates products using wood sourced from responsibly managed forests.

Responsible forest management considers a number of closely connected aspects: the protection of ecosystems and biodiversity, the controlled harvesting of forest resources, and care for the people and communities who live and work in these areas. Certification therefore makes it possible to link the choice of a material to a system of verifiable criteria throughout the supply chain. Within the Pianca collection, these principles become part of the furnishing project. Systems and complements thus share the same attention to the origin of the material. FSC® Forest Week therefore becomes an opportunity to bring attention back to the beginning of the process, to the material and to the choices that determine its journey. Because knowing where a product comes from also means understanding its value more deeply.
