The new Progetti di Design 05 catalogue takes an in-depth look at the new Pianca products, exploring their forms, design processes and materials. The 5th issue of this catalogue presents what is new at Pianca with a focus on the designs, ideas and style lexicons of the designers.

The Naan armchair by Federica Biasi and the Peonia and Calatea collections by Cristina Celestino are the main features in the new issue of this catalogue. The two designers are known for their profound approach to design and continuous experimentation with new shapes, which produce furniture inspired by soft, natural forms and the beauty hidden within the simplicity of things.

Naan designed by Federica Biasi is a classic, elegant chair with an appealing, compact volume and soft, delicate contours. The single block structure develops from a square base with rounded corners, projecting uninterrupted into the space, creating an appealing volume whose simplicity suits a host of combinations.

Peonia sofa with peninsula and Naan armchair

The Peonia collection by Cristina Celestino, consisting of sofa, peninsula and armchair, unfolds like a flower in Springtime. Nature provides the creative inspiration for this product. The shell of the armchair has different surfaces, arranged in an evocative crescendo like the petals of a corolla. The modular geometric forms allow infinite combinations to be created. The Calatea armchair and pouf design is inspired by the evergreen tropical plant after which they are named. The armchair backrest has a distinctive small cleft on the upper section of the backrest. The matching pouf is a versatile piece of furniture.
