iF Design Award 2023
The Naan armchair designed by Federica Biasi for Pianca is awarded the iF DESIGN AWARD 2023
Organized every year by the iF International Forum Design GmbH, the oldest independent design body in the world, headquartered in Hannover, the iF DESIGN AWARD 2023 is one of the most prestigious international design awards.
The jury of 133 independent experts from all over the world this year selected the winners from among almost 11,000 submissions received from 56 nations.
Pianca is one of the companies that won an iF DESIGN AWARD 2023: the Naan armchair won an award in the Home Furniture / Decoration category, Product discipline.

Designed by Federica Biasi, Naan boasts a compact, snug volume with soft, delicate design contours. The single block structure develops from a square base with rounded corners. Slim, tapered armrests and backrest enclose a generous seat in a delicate balance of solid and voids.
“I wanted to create a harmonious product that does not steal the limelight, but blends into living room, waiting room and entrance area décor with timeless style,” explains the designer. “Naan is a moody but not silent product, inviting and with a boldly-defined character.”
Naan is a chair for every space. It’s perfect for public or private locations. It is made of moulded flexible polyurethane and is also available in a swivel version. It can be upholstered in natural or synthetic leather or a removable fabric cover — also with the Green Pianca fabric collection.
